Philip Hoffman, Anu Kuivalainen, Kiti Luostarinen, Perttu Rastas and Sami van Ingen discuss Hoffman’s influence on the Finnish experimental film and documentary film making.

In the 12 For the Future Rough Cut workshop three documentary films in the rough cut phase will be presented to a panel that discusses the means of editing and developing the projects in question based on the emphasis requested by the filmmakers. Mikael Opstrup from EDN is the moderator of the panel. The panelists are Niels Pagh Andersen, editor (Act of Killing, Look of Silence, Hyvästi Afrikka), Miia Haavisto, producer (Helsinki Filmi) and Hanka Kastelicova, Commissioning editor (HBO Europe)

Broadcasting Is Dead. What Next and How Will This Affect Us?

Television is dead – or is it? Old-school television is no longer the main way of broadcasting. What broadcasters should do, and how does this affect on the productions? Content from TV-channels is going more and more to VOD-platforms and national broadcasters are facing hard times. TV itself is not the same anymore. What is the role of indie-productions and how does it affect documentary films? The panelists are Hanka Kastelicova (HBO Europe), Jenny Westergård (YLE Fem) and Paul Pauwels (EDN). The moderator is Gitte Hansen, sales agent (First Hand Films).
